Tennessee Titans UDFA CB George Baker is still new to the position but not football
George Baker was a pure athlete in Miami when he was coming out of high school. He was an All State offensive player and at 5’11, 180 pounds he was a blazer. He never played CB until USF in college, but George turned out to be a very good player. He finished his 2012 season with 42 tackles, 5 pass break ups and several huge hits. George understands it will take work for him...
Chris Johnson Says He’s Not Selfish For Wanting 2,000 Yards Rushing
Titans running back Chris Johnson has made no secret of his goal to rush for 2,000 yards in a season. Johnson has predicted that he will return to his glory days of 2009 when he had over 2,500 yards from scrimmage.
Johnson said that every season his goal is to rush for 2,000 yards, but that doesn’t make him selfish according to the Tennessean.
“Every year coming in I have a...
Stefan Charles out to show he’s got the goods
Ever heard of the University of Regina? Well, me either, but defensive tackle Stefan Charles is a beast at 6’4 and 328lbs for the Tennessee Titans and attended the school. I think it’s safe to say with a good preseason, Zach Clayton and DaJohn Harris could be on the outside looking in.
Charles might look the part of a defensive tackle, but he has never actually played against...
2013 NFL Scouting: Will Chris Johnson Return to Elite Status in 2013?
If you're a fan of the Tennessee Titans, or if you've had him on a fantasy roster in the last couple of seasons, you're well aware of how frustrating Chris Johnson can be. The player who once was a holding penalty away from potentially breaking the NFL's rushing record, Johnson has spent the last several years as a mediocre threat at best.
No team has done...
Chris Johnson reportedly looks to be in great shape
According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Chris Johnson is in fantastic shape. Of course, we did hear that same thing last year. I wouldn’t hang on this comment too much. Johnson played well under par in 2012. Although, this year could be different for Johnson. He’s playing behind probably the best offensive line in his entire career. 2013 might be his last chance to solidify...
Chris Johnson Reportedly in ‘Great Shape’
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson ”looks to be in great shape” and “has been explosive” during the team’s OTAs on Monday, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Photo Via Official Tennessee Titans Facebook Page It’s worth noting that we did hear similar things all last offseason, and when the games got underway, Johnson was inconsistent and ultimately blamed...
Titans Rookie WR Justin Hunter Has Not Impressed
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver, Justin Hunter, has missed his seventh consecutive OTA practice. And a couple of days ago, he was even called out by his WR coach Shawn Jeffers saying, “Justin needs to get his (butt) going… Sometimes we have to fight through things. That’s how I was taught with Bill Parcells. If it ain’t broke, then I’m not hurt.”
This doesn’t...

Gregg Williams brings attitude, culture change to Titans defense
Once the pariah of the NFL for his participation, or rather his presiding over the Saints bounty program, new Tennessee Titans senior assistant/defense Gregg Williams is bringing about a change in culture to the team's defense... this time, in a good way.
David Climer of the Tennessean sat down with a few Titans to get their take on what Williams brings to the team.
“The...
Tennessee Titans Offense is Brand New, “From Scratch”
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was asked what was different about the Titans’ offensive changes this offseason. His answer:
“Everything. New plays. New formations. We’re starting from scratch.”
This is a clear indication that offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, who was given the position in November last year, will be taking the charge on formulating his own...
Titans expect Pro Bowl year from rejuvenated Britt
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Kenny Britt realizes an inordinate amount of attention is being paid to his return to the field for the Tennessee Titans.
But it goes beyond just the fifth-year wide receiver returning completely healthy this season and showing no signs of two knee surgeries on his right knee in 2011 that included the permanent placement of two titanium pins. He also had surgery...

Titans Release Center Eugene Amano
The Tennessee Titans released veteran center Eugene Amano Thursday afternoon, The Tennessean’s Jim Wyatt reports.
The seventh-round 2004 draft pick has spent his entire NFL career with Tennessee. He has started only 68 games during that span.
Amano, 31, didn’t play a single down for the Titans in 2012 due to an injured triceps muscle.
With a $6 million salary cap hit this year...
Chris Johnson says another 2,000-yard year is on the horizon
The Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson swears that he has another 2,000 yard season in him.
As he chases the ghosts of his 2009-10 campaign, he ( at least publicly) ignores that he was his own worst enemy during his decline.
Johnson told Jim Rome that he is on the way back up.

Report: Talks have stalled between the Titans and John Abraham
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, talks between free agent John Abraham and the Tennessee Titans have stalled. One thing from yesterday I hadn't mentioned yet: Talks between John Abraham & #Titans are in a "stall." Not dead. No one moving quickly — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) June 4, 2013 Until one side is willing to give in a little, it doesn’t look...
Tennessee Titans Kenny Britt:I don’t believe I have to prove anything
Kenny Britt is on his ninth life.
The talented yet trouble-minded wideout is coming off another off-season that was tainted by trouble.
His 2012-13 season was largely a wash thanks to knee issues that have dragged him down on the field since 2011.
He is walking into the last year of his rookie deal and yet he feels that he has nothing to prove.
