Chidobe Awuzie on Bengals' Loss to Steelers: 'Definitely Take This Loss on Me'
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Steelers beat the Bengals 34-11 on Saturday. It was an ugly loss for Cincinnati and their playoff hopes took a huge hit in the process.

Veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzie gave up two big plays to George Pickens on Saturday, including a 66-yard touchdown in the third quarter that essentially ended any chance of a comeback. The 28-year-old took blame for the loss after the game.

"Stuff that I knew was coming, but just not reacting to it properly," Awuzie said. "Definitely take this loss on me. I feel like I let my teammates down and I'm gonna try to be better next week."

Of course the loss isn't only on Awuzie. The defense struggled all night long. Jake Browning threw three interceptions. The Steelers scored 17 points off of those turnovers.

There's plenty of blame to go around after a loss like that, but it would be good to see Awuzie finish the season strong, starting with next week's matchup against the Chiefs.
