The Cleveland Guardians' bats this season have been quite cold since Spring Training began back in March. Outside of a good stretch in June, the team hasn't been able to consistently put it all together and keep the line moving.

Specific players such as Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor have been able to carry the team and give the Guardians a lift at times. The one player who's currently doing that and has been leading the team since the end of August is Will Brennan

Brennan has been a promising prospect for quite some time now and showed that last season at Triple-A. He was called up at the end of 2022 to get some run with the Major League team and cracked the Opening Day roster in 2023.

The left-handed hitter had a productive month of June hitting .333/.363/.529 and driving in 14 runs. However, Brennan cooled back down in July. Now, Brennan heating back and looking to end the season strong.

In his last 12 games dating back to August 22, Brennan's .439 batting average leads that team and he's even scored and driven in five runs.

This average isn't just the best on the Guardians but is also the highest (by a fine margin of just .0004 points) during this stretch beating out other hot hitters such as Luis Rengifo and Mookie Betts. Brennan's name doesn't carry the same weight outside of Cleveland, but it's still impressive nonetheless.

The Guardians are going to have a number of difficult decisions to make with their outfield this offseason. If Brennan can continue this offensive production over the next three weeks and finish the season strong then he'll put himself in a nice situation for next season.
