When you mention college football, the first thing many people think of is the Ohio State vs. Michigan rivalry; the last three years of the rivalry have been crazy.

Michigan Is On Top Of The College Football World

Michigan, which had never been able to beat the Buckeyes for years, finally got over that hurdle in 2021, 2022, and 2023, making it three straight years in a row. They also added a College Football National Championship last season.

Ohio State Has Been Soft The Last Three Years

In the last three seasons, a narrative has been brought up around the college football world of how soft Ohio State is compared to Michigan, and this is a huge reason why they haven’t won a game in this rivalry since 2019. One college football analyst brought up maybe why the Buckeyes have been so soft over the last three years, and Michigan hasn’t.

One Team Tackles In Their Spring Game, The Other Team Doesn’t

Fox college football analyst RJ Young took to social media on Saturday during Michigan’s spring game and tweeted,” Michigan is tackling in the first half of their spring game, Ohio State did not.”

It might not be that major that Michigan is tackling in their spring game and Ohio State didn’t, but in the last years, Ohio State has been out physical in this game, and maybe it does have to do with how tough and all out Michigan goes in their spring game, and Ohio State doesn’t.

When you win football games, it all starts in the spring, and based on how you prepared there, Michigan might have the upper hand over their rivals right now.
