Come Back
Tonight against the Indiana Pacers i played my first game since the All Star Break. I didnt play alot of minutes but the minutes i did play i was concentrating on getting my wind back. I was suprisingly not as out of breath as i thought i would be. My knee felt good while i was out there it got pretty sore at half time and after the game but it wasnt anything that i couldnt deal with. So we have a game tomorrow and i plan on playing. We had a couple of guys get banged up in the game tonight so i definitely want to play to help out and get in the rythm of things.

Good to see you get back out there tonight Greg! It has gotta be tough to have so much pressure put upon you as a rookie, whether it be coming from local media or national media. In my perspective you have handled it pretty well! Hopefully you can stay healthy the rest of the year and help the Blazers make the playoffs and possibly make some noise!

Great to see you back out there Big Fella' ! Ignore the media who question your integrity, but remember their names because they are the ones who will be begging you for interviews once you start dominating the league.
-

glad you're back big man. couldn't watch the game but I heard Wheels' call on the radio and was happy as hell when I heard them call you into the game. It was probably super sweet to play back home huh. Have you ever lost on that floor? Well, good luck the rest of the way.

Do it.
Congrats, G.O. and welcome back to the NBA -
Man, you are a sight for sore eyes brotha.

-

-

It's good to see you back in the game Greg, and with your Blazers in the hunt for the Playoffs just in time you and Pryzbilla in the middle can make for a solid defensive duo,Stay Healthy Bruh..
-
It's good to see you on the court man,i truly believe that more you play, more shots you make and more bounds you grab.Actually the point is,consistency is the most important and vital stuff for you and when you get it,you gonna help the team to gen in to the playoffs and win more games.
-
Definitely good to have you back. I just renewed my Season Tix so I'll see you in the playoffs.
-
THE BEAST IS BACK!!!! You were AWESOME last night! Even though you only played 15 minutes-you made a huge impact. GREAT JOB GREG!!!
-
Good luck. Stay healthy!!
-
Good game last night now you need to destroy the rim in Cleveland! Oh yeah forget that d-bag faker fan GO BLAZERS!!!!!!!!!!!
-
+21? not to bad for the first game back! only Roy had a higher +/- so great job! I bet the Vanilla Gorilla is happy to see you taking some of the tough minutes as well. Keep plugging along dude and keep punishing kids in the lane.
-
your face in this pic is priceless!! lol but great to see you return strong last night hope you continue to get better and stay healthy
-
You looked good out there. I didn't expect you'd come back and look quicker than before and play such solid defense. That was great tonight when you ran into Lebron. Looked like he way going to get a eye jammy if he pissed you off. That's what we need. Lebron needed to be knocked down a level and know that he is going to get hurt if he plays around.
-
Nice job tonight G.O.! All of us fans have missed you, and now we're reallllly happy you're back. Keep up the good work and I hope your knee continues healing up!
-
You are really looking great out there the last two nights! Nice "hello foul" to LeBron. You sure have a positive impact on the game, that really no one else that we have can do. I hope the injury bug takes a vacation from you.
Great "stuff" -
I am glad ur back
I know that you are going to be a great player for years to come
be well my man
all the best
-Steiny -
Good to see you it the game G.O. Keep playing hard.
-
Hey Oden! I'm going to the Bucks vs Blazer's game tomorrow....You better be suited up. Can't wait to watch you dominate the post big man. My friend got tickets for a suite but if you're playing...I'll be watching...if your not playing.. I'm be eating and watching the NCAA.
-
GREG, YOU ARE THE BEST! YOU ARE ALMOST AS WONDERFUL AS WILLPATT! AND THAT IS SAYING A LOT FOR ME TO GIVE OUT THAT HIGH OF A COMPLEMENT. I miss you Greg! I am glad you are back out on the court, don't ever listen to the Media hype, listen to yourself. Love and Miss you always!
-
it was good to see you back, even better that i got to watch it in person. i was sitting up in the cheap seats, but was excited to see you come out to warm up knowing that meant you would play. everybody around me seemed to be cheering for you too when you came in, the benefits of being home i guess.
-
Hey AWESOME to have you back Greg! What's the deal though?!?! You come back and then two go down!!! Hopefullly Batum and Aldridge will be back soon! And it was cool meeting you the night before the Laker annihilation at that club!! I should have bought you a drink but I forgot!!
Also Travis got fouled on that three and he didn't travel!! And nice to see you give a big tough bump/shove to Lebron!!! Loved it! -
mellow, the destroyer! Love to see you on the floor, love seeing you laugh even more!
-
Hey Greg! Just keep remembering what MJ told you! You made such a difference in both of those games! And I'm sure Joe LOVES having you in there! Very classy to give him credit for the great job he's been doing. Keep up the good work and HAVE FUN!!!
-
Glad to see you back, Greg - so glad. I'm going to get to go to my first Blazer game at Utah. I'm looking forward to you busting out between here and there. We're all rooting for you and the Blazers in my household. Here's another laugh for you (hope you enjoy it):
Because of an ear infection, Little Johnny, had to go to the pediatrician. The doctor directed his comments and questions to Little Johnny in a professional manner. When he asked Little Johnny, "Is there anything you are allergic to?" Little Johnny nodded and whispered in his ear. Smiling, the pediatrician wrote out a prescription and handed it to Little Johnny's mother. She tucked it into her purse without looking at it.
As the pharmacist filled the order, he remarked on the unusual food- drug interaction Little Johnny must have. Little Johnny's mother looked puzzled until he showed her the label on the bottle. As per the doctor's instructions, it read, "Do not take with broccoli."
Go get 'em at the Bucks tonight .. tear 'em up. -
Hey G.O. - Just wondering, are you still a big time fan of Chris Brown after him beatin the crap out of a woman?
-
What a stupid question. You have got to be in elementary school, retarded or in the media. Do you think anyone would ever want to support that sort of violence?
-
well it says on his profile that one of his favorite singers is Chris Brown so I asked.
-
Hey Greg, nice to see you on the court again! I just want to ask one favor from you; when you get a bad call from the refs, pull a Duncan (occasionally) and say something. Nobody should have five fouls in less than ten minutes of a game, and if you showed some disdain towards the refs, I'd doubt that they would have the guts to call more stupid fouls against you since you're freaking huge and could step on them if you wanted to.
Go Blazers!
-
I loved your hard reality check foul on LeBron. Even though LBJ is a beast you could tell he definitely felt that last foul on him. By the way my man ROCK SOME KNEEPADS! Seriously! You can go all Patrick Ewing oldschool. Jerryd wears kneepads and so should you. You can even wear a brace underneath if a knee is bothering you. You will feel more confident and less need to protect your knees. I think it will help you feel in the game and unconcerned about your knees. Be the Beast we all know you are!
-
zeypxun obviously hasn't been reading the news lately, the R word isn't a very intelligent word to use either big guy! The point is maybe GO should update his profile....
-
You know I was going to say mentally challenged, really I was, but I wanted to see if someone like you would act like a complete imbecile and make a comment on it to make themselves feel better. Also I didn't even say anything about intelligence, I was referring to maturity, so there was no need for you to be so smug while you were making a fool of yourself misinterpreting me to use it against me. Actually my point was and is grow up, QUIT watching the damn TV (news) so much, give G.O. a freakin break, don't worry about who he listens to in his own personal time and by the way, ending your sentences with multiple periods is not very intelligent either, retard.

The best thing about your return is the intangibles that don't necessarily make it in the box score. The altered shots, the extra passes, the re-thinking about going in the lane and settling for an outside J. The efficiency index is a cool stat and I LOVE it when you are in the game. Stats be damned- that stuff will come. Keep developing and loving Portland. We want you home for your career! BTW- the nice bump against LeBron "Crabman" was flippin' awesome!! Play the role dude- we'll love you for it.

Glad to see you back in O-H-I-O the other night up in Cleveland. Don't you know not to watch the jumbotron during timeouts? It cracked me up to see you muggin' on that girl in the crowd in that "What R they thinkin?" segment. Classic!
-
Yo Greg, I love your blog I just wish you'd write more. Can you start writing more about your teammates and what you guys do to prepare or to cool down after games... oh and please a Ptown version of your crib.
-
Way to kill the suns last night big man. Great game all around. GO BLAZERS!!!!!!!!!
-
Greg, you make such a difference when you are in the game! Have fun and envision yourself healthy and strong. You are both!! mj
