Road Trip
We are on a week long east coast road trip, as of now we are 3-0. We play Boston tomorrow and Toronto on sunday. Those are two really good teams, they will be really tough to win and being at there place. The road trip has been good so far besides basketball they are some really good cities that we have been too. In Detroit i got to see my mom so that was good. Then in New York i just like it, me and Steve Blake went out to dinner and i got to see some of the places that were on this weeks episode of Gossip Girl. Washington i have some of my best memories there. Now im in Boston which has alot of stuff to do. Well we play tomorrow so hope we can keep this good road trip going.

thanks for the update G.O ill be there in toronto courtside. Keep improving!!!!!!
-
keep up the strong play Greg! I absolutely cannot wait until you are @ 100%. Just let the game come to you and don't let Boston intimidate you! Great job on this trip so far.
-
Man how sweet would a 20 point blow out of Boston be? If not by 20 I'd take a Portland win by 1 in double OT!
Keep on keepin on GO, you're looking better every game! God Bless! -
So did steve make you pick up the tab for dinner? You being a rookie "technically".
-
good luck, beat up on Boston for us!
-
Hey Greg,
Just wanted to tell you fans in P-town love you. Stay true to it Greg and most of all have fun with your awesome teammates. Be sure you take the time to have fun and chill. We all know you bust your hump so be sure you take care of the big GO. Much love to you Greg! Bring the hurt to Beantown, with the exception of of Mr. Classy Rajon Rondo those guys in green need to be brought down a peg or two. P-town baby P-TOWN! -
Greg,
You and the rest of your teammates give Kevin and company a run for their money. Don't let them intimidate any of you! We know you can beat them at their game. Be strong and play together like you have been doing! We are all so proud of you guys on and off the court. I can't wait for our next home game. Go Portland!
-
Better throw some Mo-Bows at KG...he's going to try his best to intimidate you no doubt...
-
OMG you watch Gossip Girl just like MEEEEEEE!!!!!! :)
-
Greg,
PLEASE inflict physical pain on the Celtics, show them Portland can no longer be bullied.
Keep it real -
G.O. we love that you are growing with us!! Dude, you are the man. Relax, have fun, and just ball. The skillz are there, the body is coming along== just have fun. What a great team you landed on. Good people, great city, and manny banners to follow. Relax, you'll do it!!
-
G.O. - Good stuff man, you guys are doing awesome. Way exceeding expectations by far thats for sure. Do one thing for me though, INTIMIDATE Garnett. He thinks he so bad with his yelling and screaming, just push his tiny body around man. He's smaller than LaMarcus so you just have to make sure to not let him piss you off to much and make the Celtics play your game (But be chill to Rajon, he seems pretty cool on his blog, but not so chill to him that they win the game ya dig). Good luck the rest of the road trip, and whoop some Boston Butt. GO BLAZERS!!!!

Keep playing hard out there Greg. Blazer fans like me love what they are seeing from you. Remember to enjoy yourself.
-
Hey Greg, great to see you settling into the starting lineup. Just keep boxing your man (you've been doing a GREAT job of this during the season BTW), setting those nice big screens for the guards, and most importantly rolling HARD to the hoop afterwards.
I'm sure that you've heard this stuff a million times from the coaches, but just thought you might like to hear one fan's appreciation for the non-stat things you do on the court. -
YOU GUYS ARE ON FIRE !!! i'm postponing some important holiday blah blah blah to be in front of a tv screen to watch this game...win or lose this is THE GAME TO WATCH !! the city of portland will be temporarily closed while THE GAMES ON, swat that ball back to portland G.O. !!
RIP CITY !!!!!!!!!!!! -
Greg, I have TO tell you, it is pretty plain TO see, TOO; you and Joel are the TWO best tandem centers in the NBA. That's sayin' a lot TOO. TO speak of Greg and Joel together is TO evoke the relentless presense of TWO towers that are TOO tough TO ever top. I hope this isn't TOO much. Do it TO Boston, Greg. It's time TO be You.
-
Greg, you are truly blessed to be the center of the greatest team. Play your game and relax. Enjoy the game. KG is old and Perkins has an anger problem. As long as you don't back down on them and don't foul out you will be fine. You are better than both of them but you have to look back at your notes from last year and remember the things you saw on the sideline. Use those notes and get EXCITED ABOUT THE GAME AGAIN. You have plenty of help around you to WIN. Prisbilla as holding it down and a great teammate. He went thru the samething you are going thru. Just get excited. If you do you you will be fine.

KG is old and Greg is better than him? LOL

Greg,
Just take care of business in Boston. Play hard, have fun...and give us a little of that big smile on the first block on Keven Garnett! Then....hustle down court for the two-handed Jam....I hope they have an extra backboard!
Stay Humble...and God Bless! -
We are on a week-long, east-coast road trip, as of now we are 3-0. Tomorrow we play Boston. Toronto is on Sunday. They are both really good teams. They'll be really tough to beat at their place.
The road trip has been good so far. Besides playing basketball, we have visited some quality cities. In Detroit I was able to see my mom, so that was good. Then we were in New York -- I just really like that place. Steve Blake and I went out to dinner and i got to see some of the places that were on this week's episode of Gossip Girl (don't ask). Washington . . . some of my best memories were made there. Now I'm in Boston where there's a lot of interesting stuff to do. We'll play tomorrow so let's hope we can keep this good road trip going. -
Big game tonight!
It's great to see you getting more confident on the court.
You are already contributing a lot to the team's success, specially with rebounds and post defense.
Is coach Lucas back?
greetings from a blazer fan from Brazil

what the heck greg gossip girls? lol
-
That charging call was complete bullsh*t.
-
Greg start playing like a man. You get so many ticky tack weak @$$ fouls called on you, just lay into someone one time. Seriously the guards let their men past so often you are going to have to make PGs in this league realize they need to be scared if the run into you. START PLAYING LIKE A MAN GREG, because so far you've looked like a kid.
-
I dont wanna sound like a dick, but the Blazer guards get blown by when defending better guards, so you need to trash a couple people, because the perception around the league is that you guys are soft. And if looked that way in the Boston game. You can say "they're the world champs" but cmon, that was a lack luster performance at primetime. Just bring that badass attitude you used to have (I think you used to have one, I dunno)
-
KG is not nice. He made Davis cry. Dont grow up to be like him.
-
Greg,
What up young buc!? So, I have to ask you, do you actually read your comments? Or do you just blog on this thing cause they make you? I have to say, I love your blog, you keep it real, and you don't spell check, just like I don't, but more importantly you should blog when you are most emotionally upset, like I am wondering what you felt like after the Boston game, I heard KG got on the ground on all four and started barking at J. Bayless!? Did that really happen? The camera on ESPN cut away at the last second. Can you imagine that? A grown man acting like and teenager? I mean, you being 46 years old know all about acting grown up and responsible. Speaking oh which, how did summer classes go for you? I have been meaning to find out.
Well Mate, you play in 7 hours from now, I wish you luck. I will be hoping you find this comment in good spirits after a romping of the Vancouver Canucks, or whatever the one NBA team in Canada still calls their team. (You see, we subly insult them by pretending to be ignorant about anything Canadian, aha they'll suspect nothing until we have left town with a victory!)
Cheers!

Great road trip. The Toronto win was sweet. Good defense in the 4th, and how about that clutch shot by Steve Blake? You got some clutch teammates! Lookin' good, keep puttin' in work my man!
-
Great win against Toronto- Greg! You played great-- seemed like you got your hands on every single rebound. You kept them alive even when you didn't grab it yourself. You also had a couple great defensive plays. If your finishing around the rim gets a little better, you'll be a 15 pt/10 rebound machine. Run hard, play strong and have fun. Keep up the good work, we love watching you play.
-
G.O., you're going to be the man. I just hope it's here in P-Town so I can keep coming to games seeing you rip the rim off the backboard.
Between you, B-Roy, Lamarcus, Rudy, Joel...the list goes on... I'm looking forward to a strong run at the playoffs!!!!! LET'S GO 'ZERRRRRSSSS!!!! -
I just saw that Happy Halloween video you and Jerryd did...haha...You should post that.
-
Hey Greg, I'm a big Blazers fan, and just want to say thanks. From a fan's perspective, the team seems like it has a lot of good guys on it. You're all good basketball players, obviously, but also good people - humble, hardworking, and fun to watch. I'm proud that you're representing our city.
It seems like reporters & TV announcers talk a lot about the pressure on you to perform this year, but please ignore all that stuff - put it in a box and ignore it. They get paid to talk, even if there's nothing to talk about. Just have fun playing your game. You're such a great guy that Portland fans will always love you. Thanks again.
PS: how is C.B. McLovin? -
Portland Believes In you Greg! I am a fellow 20 year old, and i can't imagine what it would be like to be in your position. At 20, there is so much other new stuff happening in life, i bet playing ball with all the pressure can feel like a curse sometimes. I can't even handle the pressure college classes.
i hope you can continue to make basketball something you love doing! You are getting payed to play basketball, so fuck the radio show hosts, fuck the blog haters, you are living the dream. So practice hard Greg, joke around in the locker room, be aggressive on the court. You are only 20 years old so start acting like it! You will pick up the post moves, the bball IQ, and the minutes you deserve in time. You have a lot of great players to learn from on this squad.
Portland believes in you Greg. Keep up the good work! -
G.O. - I just thought you should see this. Now while I think Charles is losing his mind half the time, he's talkin to you in this piece dude and I couldn't agree with him more. Don't listen to us jackasses on the internet or the stooges on the Radio, do what makes you happy dude. You used to be so smiley but now not so much. We don't care if you get 10/10 or 0/0 dude, just go have fun. That's what made Portland endear itself to you, your genuine kind and funny nature. But it seems you're too worried about bein the best. Just wait for it dude. It will come, but you've been out a long time and now you're playin with the best of the best, it's bound to get frustrating, those are the times when you need to lean on your teammates, coaches, and us true fans. We'll stick behind you no matter what homie, just be you and do what you do. Good luck the rest of the way, and trash the Clips tonight :)

Hey Greg! Thanks for taking a picture with us (two short girls) after the game in TO. Those Air Canada Centre security guards booted your family and us out of the arena as we were leaving--- RUDE! We appreciated the chance to meet you and wish you all the best. Have a Merry Christmas!!

Greg, you really need to work on your game. All you do is dunk and get the ball turned over by either getting blocked or getting stripped. Learn to be a more versatile player. You have potential to become the most dominant post player in the NBA, but you need to quit acting like its the first time you played basketball out there. Use ur pivot foot, be more aggressive, and have more court awareness. You seem like you want to get rid of the ball more than you want to score points.
-
Honestly man you are an idiot point blank. It is the first time he has played basketball in over a year. These are NBA players. He is doing as well as Dwight did his rookie year and Dwight was on a much worse team and got more minutes. Get a life and jump off the bandwagon.
-
You've been tight the last game and a half. All-star material. Just concentrate on D and offensive rebounding. Both those only require effort. Everything else becomes easy when your killin' on D and glass. On D you're changing the game, opponents are intimated. It isn't in the stat sheet but u r dominating on one side of the ball. Thats better then 95% of all players can say. FYI for the haters, Brandon Roy makes sence to you. He tricks you but you've watched him enough, you know he's a bad man. Watch Greg play, he deceives you, he is changing the game. Sometime between now and the next year in a half it will make sence.
-
GO, I think you are great. I love to cheer for the Blazers now that we have REAL men who aren't a bunch of thugs! I love it that you watch Gossip Girl...I am 35 and totally addicted to that show. Too bad it is re-runs for the rest of the year.
Keep playing strong, Portland is behind you! -
Hey Greg- don't listen to the bullshit media- Just keep being you. Your the man- wish you were still playing with the BUCKS :(- But I cant be mad you gave us the BEST YEAR EVER- Keep doing what you do..
Ross- -
Greg,
I read the article about you and the boys and girls club in Oregon. Just wanted to say it's awesome that you're doing that and being a great male role model for the kids. We've got a similar faith-based organization here in Chicago mentoring at-risk kids in the Cabrini Green area - so we definitely know the need. Anyways, keep up the amazing work and be blessed. -
Hi Greg, Shawn Huff here. Im a Rip-City native and Blazers lover. I can't help but notice how much attention you get in the NBA from fans to press to TNT. Everybody seems to have some kind of advice or criticism for you....on everything from your game to your personal life. How flattering right? Well I just want to say that you are the man!! Your game is rad, love watching you play, you're a cool dude and I hope you stay with the Blazers for a long time. You guys make a great team!! Shawn
-
Hi Greg.
How about that 52 point game from Roy against the Suns? How much fun is it to be involved in games like that? -
Hi GREG! My 5 year old always says you are her favorite player and whenever she sees a game on TV she says in her best deep loud monster voice... "GRRREEEEGGGGG OOOODDDEEEENNNNNNNN!!!" It's really weird but funny too haha. I hope you got to take your pup out in the snow. Our 160 pound beast loves to play in the snow so he's had a good time this week. Good luck getting to Denver!
-
Dude, when are you going to posterize Yao?
-
Hey Greg I noticed you had a picture of Tyson as one of your profile pictures. Didn't realize you knew him. He is a really cool guy, very nice. I hope you are doing well bud. I am going to the game today and really excited to see you and the team play. Merry Christmas bud!
