Haha, It looks like Greg Oden in the Fountain of Youth. Well, lets hope thats what it is, cause your going to need it coming back from Micro when your 47 years old.
Nice water aerobics skillz, Greg...since you won't be playing this season, maybe you should think about becoming an instructor to fill up the free time and get some extra cash. Just think, you could be like this guy:
It's good to see how you're doing, and it gets me really excited for NEXT year. Which is good, since I spend most of my time being excited about the team THIS year. Keep at it.
How deep is that pool you are in? It's got be like 8 feet for you doesn't it? Is it hard doing the rehab or just time consuming? Keep up the hard work. A week till the season start. I am so pumped. The team is going to need your energy to pump them up.
waz up hey dude that video was awesome dude your awesome i play basketball and I got knee surgery wat do you do while the other guys are playing sometimes i just want to get up and go in but i cant hey write back YOUR AWESOME
Greg keep the rehab up please. The Blazers need you back. I'm looking forward to seeing you block someone on D then run down and throw down a monster dunk. see ya at the garden Greg.
Wish you could of came to the Kings game in Sacramento on Sunday, I was hoping to see you. Does Taurean Green do windmill dunks in practice all the time? He did a couple that I saw before the game. Get well soon.
Greg, give me a little insight on your injury. It seems like your range of motion is good on the knee, but can you put any weight on it yet? Have the doctors told you that you are on track for recovery, or ahead of schedule so far? No worries, though. Take as much time as you need and come back strong!
keep up the good work. what do you do in all of your spare time, since you can be on your knee as much anymore because of the surgery? p.s. glad the buckeyes are no. 1 in football right now? going to the game vs. michigan?
The summer before our senior year at ASU - a friend and I implemented low impact water training into our workout regimen (needless to say we were sore in places we never knew we had muscles for the 1st 2 weeks.
That season, we came into football camp with more stamina and defined bodies than ever before.
Water resistance training simply works so many deep muscle fibers that don't get taxed by weights alone.
I recommend water polo. When I ran track in college and had a stress fracture, the pool workouts would sometimes get so monotonous and boring that I asked about other activities. With your height and upper body strength, GO, you would dominate in the agua.
heck ya...we'll do it as a charity fundraiser, get the media there and everything. I can see the headlines now: "Sports Biotch Whoops GO in Polo, Raises $125,000 for Cancer Research". Then when you're healthy you can come kick my clumsy ass on the court :)
You look like you are losing weight? Are you eating right? Poor thing, it's probably Brandon's cooking! I am glad to see you working out, you will get back on that court soon! Tell Brandon I love him too and I love teasing him. I am so thankful he is out there with you! Love you!
I look foward to seeing u dominate next year and lots of years to come, I just wish you would be be doin it for the celtics, you Big Al, Rondo, and the rest of the team we traded away to get Garnett and Allen because we couldnt get you would have been a great team for years, but those damn ping pong balls fell the other way so i have to stop dreamin. Hope you return better than ever.
hey greg whats going on? i just had the same sergury as you did last week aswell as acl repair. how was the first stages of heeling/rehab? iam in a game ready ice machine and a machine that bends my knee.did you have alot of pain? more pain as rehab goes on? oh ya the couch is getting boring and sugjestions?
Greg, good luck with the come back. Seriously. I cover Portland for my job and expect to see you and Roy for many years to come to entertain me on my business trips. Sorry about my previous comment, I really didn't know that this really is you. I seriously think you got game and I think you have a great personality and you are funny. Keep looking old while acting young and keep up the hard work.
GREG, u check this guy out before? www.myspace.com/gunthermusic... he's coming to Portland on Sunday, Nov. 4th for his first ever U.S. concert in the Northwest. just youtube "Gunther" and u'll die! i figure u got a pretty good sense of humor and all (ur dog's is name is Charles Barkley McLovin! lol) so you might wanna check it out.
is it me or is there something scary about this video?? lol, I cant put my finger on what it is though. I bet you cant wait to get off those crutches. should be coming up soon enough.
For every ache you get you make one fan scream
For every step you take the closer you are closer to the game you love
You will come back and you will live your dream
As a junior in college, I was paralyzed from the neck down in a diving accident. In a split second, my world went upside down. I went from an extremely active college football career to someone who would never do the things that made me happy. I can no longer wrap my arms around my wife, and I can no longer play the activity I have loved my whole life.
You will recover from this, and my god bless you through your rehab. My prayers are with you.
Greg, sorry to hear about your leg! Hang in there! My class at Gibault says they hope you get better. The Lady Knights basketball team is watching your LN High School game that was on ESPN. They say good luck! Maybe we will see you in town sometime! Mr. Madley
lol waterpolo... pfffttt i would kick anyones ass who tried to do polo with me. try synchronized swimming greg. lets see how long u will last. =] haha. get well soon man!
greg its Aaron in ottawa i just want to say that you are 25/13/4 in your prime.. 2 years from now.. you heard it here first from the blakester.. yaaaaaaaaay
Yo, forget water polo. I'm talking about serious olympic syncro swimming. Real serious. I'm thinking we turn the whole thing on its head man. We'll bring in Janet Jackson and Greg Louganis to choreograph the whole thing to Crank that Soulja Boy. I know, I just blew your mind.
ahahaahah fo sho! synchro bitches know whats up wit da soulja boy dance!! lol
Greg Louganis is amazing and well janet ummmmm.. hmmm... im not about to expose a tittty for scores.
lol. but other than that were takin synchro to a new level!
I'm trying to figure out if it was you I saw today at a Boston Market. I was there with my extraordinarily tall three year old active boy and asked you how tall you are. My husband wants to know if it was you because he's a fan of yours. Hope your knee gets better quick.
Hey Greg. I'm from the north side of Indy too... Our schools played against each other a lot so I got to see you play a lot back in the day . I'm thinkin I might of even played against you back in Middle School days. Did you really start getting really tall from like 6th-7th grade? G'luck with things though man. I'm sure you'll be back faster than most other people would take the injury. I love someone giving Indy a name (well other than peyton) so you got my full support.
Hey man, good luck with that and keep it real! Play with that doggie some and just chill out with mediocre weather! You haven't seen the REAL winter weather yet...be prepared! Also, when your rehabbed enough, check out some of the nice scenery around Oregon...the coast, the mountains, the rivers, and the desert...all within reach!
Do you have your own pool at Juan Dixon's old house?
How good do you think the tandem of you and Lamarcus will be?
How much flexibility do you have in your leg so far? Does it hurt to bend it? Is it really stiff?
Are you worried about becoming lazy now that you have to stay indoors a bunch and now that you have to chill out at home?
Hey Greg, Just another Blazer fan wanting give proprs and respect for your talent and more so for your attitude. In a league infested with egotistical ballers who traded Team philosophy for a single spotlight and a small window in time, players who are humble, interact with fans as often and in depth as you, are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale enviroment. The best part about it greg, is it seems the whole teams shares that philosophy in one way or another. I live down in the SF bay so i will be watching us Vs the Warriors, hopefully towards the second half of the season...When your knee is feeling better. Out for the year* * Sarcasm. Another warm Welcome from portland, but from cali...... Go Blazers! Get well and stay happy bro.
Greg,
Why aren't you in a G-Trainer? Amare Stoudamire, personally, and 10 other NBA teams all use the newest technology for rehabilitattion, injury prevention and conditioning with athletes who may have chronic or otherwise limited in how much or how often they can run.
Look at Shaq, DWade, Grant Hill, Baron Davis, The Suns and Wizards, and now even the Clippers have a G-Trainer. The Bocats and the Hawks have ordered a G-Trainer. Your missing out.
Check out Alter-g.com. As Adam Goucher (world class Nike runner) says in a pool "you aren't running you're just keeping yourself afloat. It isn't the same thing."
