Miami
A couple of days ago i was in Miami for the NBA Marketing meeting. I was a guest on the panel which included Bill Russell, Julius Erving, Bob Lanier, Bill Walton, Greg Anthony, Alonzo Morning, and myself. It was a great time to be able to be around those guys and hear there takes on leadership on and off the court and other thoughts. I got to meet alot of different people from around the league. It was a good visit and while i was there i got to chill and enjoy the sun. It was hard to leave that i went out and saw the city with Deaquan Cooks cousin Frank. The Heat was on a road trip so i didn't get a chance to kick it with him. We have a long road trip and we get to go back to Miami like next week so ill be in the sun again and ill probably kick it with Quan.

While you are rehabbing, maybe you might want to take some time out and run for Mayor of Portland. I bet you would win!

Greg I know you've said you're going to be in Portland for a long time in a number of interviews. I'd love for you to put it to rest and let everyone know Portland is the perfect place for you for the foreseeable future. You know Paul Allen's Big $$$ is gonna give you the max contract after your rookie season expires. Greg you've never seen so many zero's and you can just drive to Nike campus to shoot all your commercials. We can't wait to have you come back and help LaMarcus and Brandon lead this team DEEP in the playoffs. You've got two great young rising stars in B. Roy and LMA and you also have an increasingly amazing bench with Travis and also some serious play for Martell as of late.
If you want to win those 15 championships you talked about in ESPN you gotta stay with B. Roy that guy is one of the rarest kind of players in the league today. B. Roy is a leader with no Ego who plays unselfishly and makes others better. You seem to have that quality as well Greg which is a big part of why we all love ya. You have it in you to be a Hall of Fame player. To get in the hall you have to win championships...repeatedly. Your best shot is staying in Portland for at least another 5-6 years after you come back. Lord knows we'd love to have your amazing talent on our team until the day you retire. We're not asking that you stay here forever just that you stay long enough to bring a few banners to Portland.
After that if you feel the need for sun you know they will take you elsewhere in the league. Heck, Shaq is in the middle of "Retiring" in Miami as I type this. Wrap up your championship days in Portland and then move on or learn how great this town really is and stay.
The fans in Portland have stuck by you when the national media (Especially the East Coast) was kicking you while you were down. You will always be loved here we are loyal fans. We hope you will return our loyalty and support by staying here long enough to win a few championships. I'd love to for you to write more about the team in general. What did you think of that Jordan Move Roy pulled? How about that 24 point 3rd quarter by Martell?

ie, wrist, knees and ankles. It's celery juice. I drink it once a week mixed with apple & carrot. When
you juice fresh you get all of the essential juice and nutrients, without all of the pulp. Celery juice
has natural refined sodium that help reduce calcium deposits. I'm 46 and have played hoops hardcore
since I was 15. In the course of all that hoops I've rolled both ankles 8 to 10 times each (severly)
and had ACL/cartilidge surgery on both knees. The arthritis I have in both ankles and one knee,
can be very painful at times (like someone trying to shove a 5 inch needle through the joint). I
make up a 32 ounce serving of celery/carrot/apple juice and the pain goes away for weeks. I've
recommended it to 10 to 15 people here in southern Oregon and all have seen results. I think it would
really help you with your wrist and joints in general.
I also wanted to add that living here in Medford, we are really upset that Coincast won't
do a deal with either the cable companies or Sattelite providers. I've been a Blazers fan since
1975 and usually make it to 5 to 10 games a year. Having coached high school ball, I wanted
to commend the team for going "Old School" in the choice of great team oriented players. Some
won't remember that our 76-77 championship club was pretty young, but came together under
Coach Ramsey to play some great team ball. I can't wait to get to a game and am excited to
have you in our family. It's GO time !

Keep up the hard work, O. You're definately a big part of this team. Your giving the team and the fans hope for the future (no pressure :) )

oh, and it sounds like folks are liking the idea of you with a fro and beard. i could see that for sure. very portland. maybe get some of the other guys to do it too (picture blake with a super long beard or l.a. with dreadlocks!) and you would be a pretty tough looking bunch. like a funk or reggae band from the early seventies! and i'm sure walton could give you some pointers- he rocked the look severely back in the day...

It is a pleasure to have a bunch of decent, down to earth guys on our team. I heard an interview with Steve Blake yesterday on ESPN radio. Sounds like our team has great chemistry. I know that the guys are thrilled with the prosepct of you playing with the team next year. Keep up the good work, and stay in touch with your fans.

It's a shame that we don't play the Lakers in Portland till the end of next month (8 years since the last leap year game). Those games are always intense, and the crowd are insane. This year, assume you guys keep the pace going, the place might be deafening.
You should try to orchestrate several "Beat LA" chants before tip-off, then you basically could do no wrong here for the rest of your career. But you know, if you help us get a few titles, that'll help too.
