Indiana

This weekend I got to go home to Indiana for the holiday. When i got here friday afternoon, i went to my high school and watched my brother's football game. He did pretty good, but unfortunately they lost by a lot. He almost had a touchdown. He was like a yard away and i tried to tell him that he should of fell forward. In his defense it took like 5 people to take him down, but he still should of scored. Being back at school i got to see some of my high school friends and people that i knew from way back. It's cool seeing them, but everyone is so young. It was crazy that i actually felt old. I finally felt how i looked. That night i went to bloomington, to go to the Indiana University football game. A couple of my real good friends from high school play for them (JT Owens, Will Patterson). The university is so much bigger than i thought. I had never really seen it all the way, but its nice. I knew alot of people there. Most of my friends from high school go there and they were playing against Indiana State which is located in Terre Haute where i used to live before i moved to Indianapolis. The game was good because Indiana won by alot and they were the home team and the place that i was staying at. It was just a fun time and i got to spend all day today with my brother. It was fun because we never use to just chill but we did today and it was good. We went to eat and then we saw Halloween. It was a cool movie (if you're getting chased by someone and you are hiding please don't yell). Tomorrow i head back to Portland to get back to work.

  i went to high school with greg and i still just look at him as the kid from high school. i think it is kinda crazy that he's now making more than every senior from our class combined, but he deserves it.

I wanted to go see Halloween on Friday but things didn't happen that way. I got some shin splints dunking on a lowered hoop at a community center. That's what I get for trying to do too much. I saw some practice vids on the site, real nice. Everyone on the team looks good, I hope you don't all ware out before season starts though. I saw when LA got that and 1 on you, you took the ball and it looked like you were gonna throw it...lol. Keep up the good work, your looking quick out there.

Hi Greg,
Nice to know you were able to take off a couple days to spend some time with family and friends. Many in Portland are impressed at how our fine young players have gotten together to work out and get to know each other in advance of training camp. What do you think of going to China to play an NBA exhibition game? Have you ever been out of the US before?

Hey G.O. Just got home and saw that you added this post. It's been a few days but I was excited to hear what's been goin' on. Cool that you got to go home and chill with your brother. Good times. On a side note, My wife and I were at the bookstore and I was excited to see a magazine with you on the cover. It was DIME magazine. So I bought it and checked out the article inside. Just wanted to let you know that I thought the funniest and most interesting part of the article was reading that you loved WAL-MART. I know that article was written a while before it was published and before a bunch of your probably gazillion dollar deals went down and it might have been a little easier to walk into a Wal-Mart without getting noticed. But I hope that while your rollin in the doe, you still manage to remain your good ol' humble self and stroll into your local Wal-Mart to pick-up your next new favorite DVD, once you get tired of American Pie II. Anyway I am getting excited for the season. My wife let me get season tickets this year so I am just counting the days. Just 38 more days until the first pre-season game. CAN'T WAIT. Best of luck. After reading your post, it occurred to me that you might enjoy visiting a high school or two in Portland. For sure, the kids would love it. More pertinently, I think you would find it to be a lot of fun. After all, you probably feel closer ties to high schoolers than to NBA veterans. and, it would be a wonderful way to build some additional and lasting contacts in the Portland community.
If you have some interest, I suggest speaking with the Blazer office. if that fails, please get back to me and I will contact my daughters' school and see what is possible.

Sounds like you had fun over the weekend.

Looks like there are people who seem to doubt you because of your knee. Your going to see who are your real fans right now. I support you Greg. You are our teams best option in this years draft. You are a great guy and I'm still glad we picked you. Don't worry about the knee, I'm sure you'll be fine for the season. Aldridge and Roy were out in the early season last year. You'll be fine.
