China Earthquake

So i'm sure you all have seen the news lately and what's been happening in China. I just wanted to take a minute to send my condolences to everyone in China. Something like this should never happen so when it does it takes the power of everyone coming together to help make things better. This just makes me appreciate everything i have that much more and makes me realize how truly lucky we all are. My thoughts go out to all of the families and everyone that was affected by the earthquake. Stay strong.

I'm glad you brought that up, Greg. You are (I guess just naturally) falling into the 'role model' corner. Anyone that has any negative feelings about you just doesn't know what their talking about. Did anyone hear about the guy in China who survived being trapped in I believe some rubble for 8 days?

I feel bad for all those Asian countries. They get crushed by every natural disaster known to be man. What an unlucky place to start a civilization.

you, greg oden, are a great role model. way to use this forum for something good and something decent. even though you haven't played a minute in the nba yet.....i've never been more impressed with a rookie athlete in my life.

everyone please do what greg has advocated and somehow pitch in to help these poor people in china!

Well Spoken. It's amazing all of the terrible things that have happened in the last couple of years. The least we can do is keep it in peoples minds after the media forgets.

I know you were going to compete in Beijing and can't remember if you still were on the squad after the injury? If not are you still planning on travelling to support the team?

  Just bcuz Greg doesn't comment as often doesn't make him any less *real*. Take into account that when he was commenting he wasn't doing much because of his surgery so he had more time on his hands. Now that he has been cleared to do more with the team he has to put those things first. Just appreciate the times he did comment and realize that now that he has more to do its not just for himself but that he is working to get back with the team and for his fans. So just keep showing that support DRAFTODEN! :)

Hey Greg,
People are already starting to say Derrick Rose is a better prospect than you. You need to go out the are dominate next year and show everyone who's boss.
Hope the rehab is coming along well. I look forward to watching you grow into a superstar and lead the Blazers to multiple championships. Not to put too much pressure on you though ;)

He has a lot of hard work to put in before he can be a super star. You have to stay in top shape and work hard, it just doesn't come easy. Derrick Rose is good but he isn't going to take a bad team any where.
